The hotel is in the Jianguomennei area which caters to businesses and houses many of the embassies. The Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China’s offices are also located nearby, as well as the Forbidden City (5 minutes away), and the airport (a mere 28 kilometers away). The Beijing International Hotel offers 1,008 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites. All rooms have centralized air-conditioning, IDD phone, mini-bar, a reliable digital-lock, and satellite TV.
